One of the best Telltale games to date Very good writing and story telling as it’s very light hearted and fun like the Lego games, but more interactive as it goes for the choose your own adventure route. Like most games in this genre, your decisions doesn’t really influence the overall plot as dialogue choices/actions only influence how character’s precieve you later down the story through dialogue interactions (either they hate/resent you, feels neural or is your bestie) and/or if they stay in your party or not. Just know that…

One thing almost kills it… This game is pretty fun, and it’s not too difficult. But occasionally, there are points in which the button prompts pass too quickly and it’s easy to die. This wouldn’t be a big deal if you re-started relatively close to the point at which you died, but unfortunately the checkpoints in this game are incredibly far apart. When I would die, I would often have to sit through the last ten minutes or more of the game to get back to where I was.

Jim says:

Good game with a frustrating flaw. The game is enjoyable and the excellent graphics are all Minecraft. But I have to agree with another reviewer on the poorly set up game’s save system. It’s no fun being sent back and having to sit through the last ten minutes again because you missed a button press. One of the rules of good game design is- don’t punish the player. Challenging is fun, frustrating is not.
